Crawling the Red Carpet

Published February 23, 2015. Last updated November 16, 2019 by Liz. This post may contain affiliate links.

Many, many of you have asked me what Nolan was wearing for the Oscars. Ok, maybe not technically “many” of you. Alright fine, none of you.

However, Nolan was super excited about his outfit and insisted I show you some behind the scenes shots of Oscar night. He also wanted you to know “who” he was wearing (Bunnies By the Bay).

Without further ado…

Nolan is trying to decide if he should be wearing a girdle. This was a hard call, but ultimately he determined that it was time for Hollywood to embrace a more natural look. Many found this choice to be “commendable” and “groundbreaking.”

Gal pal Annie joined Nolan at the pre-party. She asked to borrow his outfit and he conceded, because “This is an outfit that deserves to be worn by a beautiful lady baby” (Nolan’s words)

Nolan thought it would be “edgy” to pair his tutu with a Superman onesie for the after party. Bold choice, Nolan.

Thanks Bunnies by the Bay for this outfit (skirt and matching headband)! Guys, it is ADORABLE! And we are giving it away to a reader. If you would like a chance to win this outfit (it’s size 12 months, although it fits 16 month-old Nolan), leave a comment (any comment!) on the blog post, and make sure you’re a subscriber. I’ll be randomly selecting a winner from that pool. If you don’t have a baby girl (or baby boy you want to dress as a baby girl) it would make a great gift. Seriously, it’s the bomb. And if you celebrate Easter, this would be a real show-stopper paired with a basket of eggs.

Nolan is quite the pretty Hollywood glamour gal. These are good photos to have on hand when he brings home girlfriends as a teenager. On another note- my daughter, Juniper, would be super excited to wear something that Nolan has touched- she is a big fan. (Ok, she probably couldn’t care less, she just wants to eat my iPhone).

Rebecca – tell Juniper that winning the tutu is like getting a game worn-jersey…she’ll totally get what that means and will have to conclude that it’s more exciting than eating your iPhone 🙂

Liz- I read her your comment and she communicated her understanding and enthusiasm by growling like a dinosaur. She is now in the bathroom practicing tutu-worthy poses (she told me she wants to use the tutu- if she is lucky enough to win- for part of her first birthday photo shoot).

Although Nolan and Annie were fantastic models, my daughter Ellie would look very cute in this for her first birthday coming up in April! It could also be passed on to several younger cousins (3 girls under 1) for a series of adorable photo ops! Thanks!

That is too cute (Nolan and the tutu)! The tutu would be great for my daughter’s first birthday in May.

Nolan is rocking that tutu! Crossdressing girls isn’t as fun. Plus all the matronly women at the park are always horrified.

Yeah I can’t see cross-dressing a girl to have quite the same effect. Nolan likes to think of himself as “a blank canvas for fashion.” 🙂

    FART. (You said any comment.)

But really; I have a pretty pretty princess that would look adorable in that. (I mean she would look adorable in a paper bag, but you get my point.)

And well done challenging gender stereotypes, Nolan. (He’s going to hate you for this post in 11 years.)

I have a little diva of my own who loves to walk the red carpet. Today she will be wearing H & M but has several outfit changes planned for later in the day
