There is a ton of interest in the Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair, and for good reason. This versatile, attractive and well-made high chair is one of the best baby products on the market. Many parents have questions about the ins and outs of the Stokke Tripp Trapp, and in this post I’ll go over…
Our Favorite Outdoor Toy (For Everyone Stuck At Home)
I assume you’re all living your best lives right about now, perhaps blow-drying your hair on a low setting just to stretch out the activity a few extra minutes. I mean these days aren’t just going to fill themselves, eh?
As a lot of you know I’m in the middle of my 5 day wait to get my test results back, so I’m currently secluded from my children. That sounded kind of nice to me a few days ago, as I’m sure anyone with small children will understand. But I already miss those little suckers and I feel especially bad for Thomas, because at 3-years-old he really doesn’t understand what’s going on, or why he can’t come hug me.
Also I feel like total crap, which is making this alone time feel slightly less magnificent than you might think.
But, it is what it is, and I’m going to keep my distance from them until I know if my test results are positive or negative. Fingers crossed.
Anyway, I wanted to pass along the one thing that’s been the best diversion for the kids while they’re stuck in the backyard. My sister got my kids the Little Tykes Inflatable Jump ‘N Slide Bounce House as their big joint Christmas present, and it made its debut on lockdown.
Brian has been setting it up in the backyard every day. It takes about 15 seconds to inflate. It’s just laying in a heap on the ground, and then BAM it’s a huge bouncy house before you can say SCREW YOU CORONAVIRUS!
Seriously, it’s super fast to put up and take down. When the kids are done playing it deflates really fast and then it just goes back into the little sack it comes with. Storage is a non-issue because it folds away so small.
You’ll notice these photos are “aerial” shots, which is because my bedroom/quarantine room is upstairs and I’m watching the kids from up high. This delights Thomas to no end, he can’t get over the fact that I’m so far above the yard. He’s simple like that.
So, if you’re looking at the BLANK calendar ahead of you and wondering what your kids are possibly going to do to fill up all those hours, I would highly recommend this purchase (you can check the current price on Amazon). It’s a bit of an investment, but given the amount of time we’re all going to be home (either through April or possibly to infinity at the rate this thing is going) I think it could really pay off if you’re able to swing it.
And then once social distancing relaxes (PLEASE LORD LET IT EVENTUALLY RELAX) you can use it at birthday parties or playdates or really do whatever you want with it, kids will love it quarantine or not. If we end up stuck at home through the really warm weather, I would also HIGHLY recommend this water slide! It’s the same kind of idea, but with water.
All I’m saying is we have a lot of time on our hands, and this has helped us out immensely. On a related note, Daylight Savings Time seemed like a good idea a few weeks ago, but now it just kind of seems like an extra hour to fill, huh?
An earlier sunset wouldn’t be the worst thing right about now, would it.
