YOU GUYS!

I am SUPER EXCITED right now! The finalists for the 2015 Bloggies were just announced, and A Mothership Down is a finalist in the Best New Blog of the Year category!!!!

Trying not to pee in excitement. This will be very hard due to an overwhelming enthusiasm for competition as well as an underwhelming control of his bowels and urinary tract.

If you recall, this is “The Oscars of the Internet” (my words). I’ve had my eyes on this competition all year, and my goal was to make it as a finalist in this category. I guess you could say all of my dreams have just come true. Except for the dream where I get to meet Fred Savage and Alyssa Milano as an extra on a coming of age tv show featuring child actors who never needed braces. Anyway.

This is what Nolan is planning on wearing to the awards show (and by show I mean online announcement). He does socialize with several lady babies, but at the moment he is considering asking Annie to be his +1. He wants to buy a double stroller so he can pick her up in style, but I think that’s a little much.

I am going to shamelessly beg you now to PLEASE vote for A Mothership Down! PLEASE! (Brian suggested I add this second “Please” to really drive home my desperation).

Thank you to everyone who has supported the blog in its first year! It’s surprisingly hard getting a new blog off the ground, but we are doing it! And doing it in style, if you are judging by Nolan in his tuxedo suit. Which you should be because damn that boy looks good.
